Missouri Wolverines Cheer Director
Kari Thorn - Missouri Wolverines Cheer Director
I'm originally from Central Iowa and moved to Kansas City in 2007. I cheered for my high school in Colo, IA for all 4 years for both Football and Basketball. I also trained with the Iowa State University cheer squads for 2 years.
While growing up in Iowa, I took dance for over 20 years. During my 20+ years of dance, I taught dance for 12 years while owning my own dance studio for 7 of those years. I took several groups to local and national competitions where in 2011 my groups placed 4th & 7th on a national level.
I have had training in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Pointe, Modern, Hip Hop, and Tumbling on both a college and professional level. I am currently working on becoming certified with the AACCA as a cheer and stunting coach, and I'm always looking for resources to extend my training and knowledge.
This will be my 4th year coaching for the Missouri Wolverines. Outside of the Missouri Wolverines, I work as an accountant for a local law firm while I continue to finish my accounting degree.
